Hi, I’m Mo — the hands and heart behind Mo’s Workroom. When I turned twenty, I made a promise to myself: to learn a new hobby every year of my twenties. I craved a creative outlet outside of the corporate path I was walking, something that challenged me, saved me money, and gave me a way to pour care into the people I love. What started as a personal challenge has become the foundation of my business, my joy, and my way of leaving a mark on the world.
I began with reading, rediscovering the joy of stories after years of struggling with words. Books became my sanctuary, teaching me how to slow down, reflect, and make space for myself. From there, I picked up crochet, looping yarn into gifts for family and friends that carried my time, care, and learning in every stitch. When my Oma’s old sewing machines came into my life, I leaned into sewing — first small fixes, then complex alterations like traditional lenghas for my sister’s wedding. With each project, I grew more confident, more resourceful, and more in love with the craft of making.
Each hobby taught me something new, but together they revealed the heart of who I am: a maker, a learner, and someone who believes in giving second life to the things we hold dear. That’s why I created Mo’s Workroom — a space built on sustainability, craftsmanship, and connection. Here, clothes are more than fabric; they’re stories, memories, and investments worth caring for. Whether I’m hemming a pair of pants, altering a special-occasion gown, flipping a thrifted treasure, or creating something entirely new, my goal is always the same: to honor the piece, the person, and the story behind it.
Mo’s Workroom isn’t just about sewing — it’s about growth, intention, and the belief that small, thoughtful work can make a big difference. Every stitch is part of my journey, and I’m honored to share that with you.
